Paloma obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from the National School of Plastic Arts and Master's degree in Color Engraving at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She has attended international courses such as Color Intaglio Printing at the Atelier 17 run by S.W. Hayter in Paris, Printing Techniques in Ceramics with Argentinian Ceramic artist Graciela Olio. She has taken several residential art courses in Mexico and abroad, including India, France, Austria, China, Canada, Finland and Middle East.

She has more than 100 individual exhibitions and 200 group exhibits in Mexico, USA, Paris, Berlin, Vietnam, Qatar, Kuwait, Bangkok, among others. Her work is part of many public and private collections such as the De Young Museum in San Francisco, California; The Museum of Mexican Ceramic Art in Fuping, Shaanxi, China; the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City, etc. In 2019, her exhibit “Recreaciones Urbanas” was presented in Capilla del Arte Museum of UDLAP in Puebla and in 2020, this exhibition travelled to the Textile Museum of Oaxaca.

Paloma participated in the 2015 Mexico-UK dual year in England with the public art piece "Building the Rain". In 2017, “City Stories Totem” sculpture was selected to represent Mexico for the APEC in Vietnam. In 2020, Paloma travelled to South Africa to make  “Axis Mundi” piece in collaboration with the students of the University of Johannesburg for the Nirox Sculpture Park.

Among the awards she has received, of particular note are: the sculpture commemorating the 700th anniversary of the Helvetic Confederation in the city of Cumbel, Switzerland, and honorable mentions in the IV Ceramics Biennial in Korea and the Sculpture Triennial in Mexico with a ceramic sculpture. Since 2014 she is a proud member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC).
